Rest days are important.
Our first trip to Disney we did all 4 parks back-to-back. Our next trip I planned for rest days between park days, this allowed us to relax, explore the resort, hang out by the pool, and visit Disney Springs. It's definitely something to consider if you can fit it into the budget.
Don't book to many sit down/Character meals.
We booked some many sit-down meals our first time, we always had to be in a certain place at a certain time, this took up so much of our park time that we could've spent riding rides, watching shows, or exploring the park. Plus, they're so expensive! Now we pick out one or two places that we want to try so were not tied down to a reservation.
You can't do everything in one trip and that's okay!
The parks are so big and have so much to do, trying to see and do everything in one trip is almost impossible.
You will walk....ALOT! Comfortable shoes are not optional.
Pack your favorite broken in shoes your going to get thousands of miles on them!
Staying on Disney property really is worth it.
The convenience, transportation, and extra perks made our trip so much easier!
Disney can feel overwhelming at first, but once you know a few tricks, it becomes so much more enjoyable.

Planning you first cruise? Here are some common mistakes first-time cruisers make - and how to advoid them so your vacation is smooth sailing from day one!
Flying or driving the same day as your cruise.
Flights get delayed more often than you think or your vehicle brakes down, anything can happen. Arriving the day before your cruise can save you from missing the ship entirely.
Not putting your phone on airplane mode.
Yikes! International roaming charges are not something you want to see when you arrive back home from your cruise. Use the ships app to chat with others in your party on board (small fee applies), buy a Wi-Fi package, or connect in port when possible.
Forgetting motion sickness medicine.
Even if you think you'll be fine, it's better to have it just in case. You can also head to the buffet and grab a granny smith apple to ease nausea.
Missing all aboard time in port.
The ship WILL leave without you. Always pay attention to ship time - it may differ from from local island time. The only time a ship will wait for you is if you're on an excursion booked through the cruise line.
Forgetting extra onboard cost.
Gratuities, drinks, excursions, specialty dining, souvenirs, and Wi-Fi can all add up fast if you're not prepared.
Not bringing essentials in your carry-on bag.
Your luggage might not arrive to your room for serval hours after you board. Pack items in your carry-on like: Medication, Travel document, Swimsuit, Sunscreen, and a Change of Clothes. I always pack my valuable items in my carry-on as well, just a personal preference.
The best part? Once you cruise the first time, you'll probably already planning the next one before you get home.

A Disney day is so much more enjoyable when you're prepared! These are 10 things I never head to the parks without:
First aid kit: Band-Aids, Neosporin, Tylenol, Motrin, Anti Chafing Cream, Pepto, Tums, and Electrolytes.
I just toss these items in a little zipper pouch, if any sort of issue comes along, I'm prepared! And of course, Disney has first aid stations located in each park, water park, and at Disney Springs. You can also contact the front desk of your resort for assistants. Disney offers complimentary transportation to Centra Care Urgent Care as well.
Plastic or reusable straws.
Disney uses paper straws, and if you're like me you don't want your straw falling apart while you're trying to use it!
Hand Sanitizer.
Water Bottle and Water Flavoring.
You can ask for ice water at quick service locations, they will give you cups to fill your water bottle for free. I'm picky about the taste of water, so I just add a flavor packet to mine and I'm good to go.
Sunscreen.
Florida sun is no joke! Make sure to apply and reapply sunscreen to make sure you don't get cooked; no one wants to spend their vacation sunburned!
Cooling Towels or Fan.
Power bank.
You'll be using your phone for lots of different things like: Photos, Lightening Lanes, Mobile Food Orders, Park Maps, etc. You don't want to see the dreaded low battery while you're having fun!
Sunglasses.
Kleenex.
Snacks.
I don't go extravagant on snack because we like trying different snacks in the parks, but I keep something like granola bars or something small and easy in my bag in case we need something while waiting in lines.

One of the biggest misconceptions in travel is that using a travel agent adds extra cost. The truth? In most cases, it doesn't cost you anything to use one-and you may actually end up saving money, time, and stress.
Here's how it really works and why more travelers are choosing to book with a travel agent.
You Don't Pay Extra for a Travel Agent
Travel agents are typically paid by the travel suppliers (like cruise lines, resorts, and tour companies), not by you.
That means:
The price you pay is the same as booking direct
You don't get "charged a fee" just for using an agent (in most cases) - My services are completely FREE!
You still get access to the same promotions and deals
Travel Agents Often Find Better Deals You Can't See
Sometimes there are promotions, group rates, or exclusive offers that aren't always easy to find online.
A travel agent can:
Watch for price drops after you book
Reprice your vacation when eligible
Match you with promotions you may have missed
This alone can save travelers hundreds of dollars.
They Save You Hours of Research
Planning a vacation can take hours (or even days) of comparing and research:
Resorts
Cruise Ships
Room types
Dining options
Excursions
A travel agent does all of that for you and matches you with options based on your budget and travel style.
You Get Real Support Before, During, and After Your Trip
If something goes wrong, you're not stuck on hold trying to fix it yourself.
A travel agent can help with:
Flight delays or cancellations
Last-minute changes
Special Request
Questions while you're traveling
They Help You Avoid Costly Mistakes
Simple mistakes can cost money, like:
Booking the wrong dates or ports
Missing cruise payment deadlines
Choosing the wrong resort location
Not understanding cancellation policies
A travel agent helps you avoid those expensive surprises.
You Still Stay in Control of Your Vacation
Using a travel agent doesn't mean losing control-it means having an expert in your corner while you still make the final decisions.
You pick your vacation. They make it easier.
Final Thoughts
A travel agent doesn't add extra cost-they add value.
From saving time to finding deals and providing support when you need it most, they can turn a stressful process into an easy, enjoyable experience.
If you're ready to plan a stress-free vacation, I'd love to help you create something amazing-at no extra cost to you.
